Charlie got home safe and sound yesterday and we have had a fun filled weekend ever since. It's amazing what we have done in just these last 24 hours. After hugs and kisses upon Charlies arrival we were so excited about trying out our new snowshoes that we just couldn't wait any longer. So we got all bundled up and headed outside. Aniela loved being in her backpack carrier and kept pointing out the moon as we went for a quick hike behind our house. We were pleased with the on-line purchase and will definatley use them while living here.
Then today we continued our outdoor adventures and went skiing again. Charlie has just recently been accepted to the board of directors at Vista Ridge so we wanted to go and check the place out a little closer. All the runs were now open and we had a blast hitting the slopes.We ended the weekend with the best thing of all...cake! Aniela and I ended up baking that cake for daddy's welcome home celebration. As you can see from the picture Aniela sure is enjoying it! Unfortunately tomorrow is Monday already so it's back to reality..but I'm sure next weekend we will be out tearing up the snow some more!

Good thing you no longer have a pool. It would be frozen over ... but then again, you'd have another ice skating rink.
