Zofia's First Birthday...

A year ago we brought Zofia Hattie Watts into this world and today we celebrated her first birthday! What an amazing year it has been. Knowing how quickly time goes we  sure have taken in each moment. Zofia you truly are the cherry on the cake. We love you and every little thing about you. Your adorable cheeks, big brown eyes, the way you scrunch your nose when you smile and even how you scream for food because we just can't get it to you fast enough. You are so feisty and have no problem showing your emotions when you do not like something. Or when you want something you want it now, patience is not your strong point! But you are so easy and fun to play with and many times you are content to just explore and play on your own. We wish you so much happiness as you go into your second year of life and want you to know that you are loved by us and all our family!

To celebrate we had family over for some fried chicken and cake. Zofia did great with all the attention but didn't dive into the cake like we thought she would. Everyone staring and standing all around was probably a little distracting. That and she was not a fan of the gooey icing on her hands. Although she did great when fed the cake with a fork and couldn't get enough. Zoe also got lots of help opening gifts from the cousins and received a great mix of toys and a few other baby necessities... like diapers! Poor thing is definitely a 3rd child. We just have so many toys already that I requested a few non-typical gifts. I'm sure she will enjoy the diaper box though. It was a great day and we loved being able to celebrate it with family, they made it that much more special!
