Copiapo, Chile
Charlie is off traveling the world again. This time he is in Chile for just the week. This area is not new for Charlie, as he has traveled many times to South America, but it's the first time he has gone back this year and since I have started blogging about all of his travels.
The town of Copiapo is about 500 miles north of Santiago. It is the last town Charlie usually hits before heading to Maricunga where Kinross (mining customer) has a gold mine. This time around Charlie is just staying in Copiapo to conduct some training classes at the Kinross offices. It's a good thing too because Maricunga is a very hard mine to go to due to the extremely high altitudes. It's not a place that gets visited frequently due to the extreme conditions.
