Were Home...

Well were all back home from our various trips. And as much as we love visiting family and friends it's always great to get back home. It's true when they say there's no place like home. Not to mention that 10 days away from daddy is 9 days too long!

Both Charlie and I had interesting adventures home. On Thursday Aniela and I bid farewell to Aunt Ela and Uncle Kevin. She still remembers them and always asks, "What is Uncle Kevin doing?"..."What is Aunt Ela doing?" It was a tearful goodbye as I won't see my sis and their new little bundle of joy till August...thank goodness she has a blog! We enjoyed our visit, tour of Seattle, and Aniela sure picked up plenty of new sign language. Unfortunately, on our way home we got rerouted through Vancouver because of a snowstorm in Calgary . After various delays and ticketing issues we finally made it home...two hours late.

Poor Charlie had it even worse yesterday. It was Minneapolis that had the snowstorm this time around. He had to switch airlines and be rerouted to Chicago only too miss a connecting flight in Chicago due to lack of ground crew. He actually sat 20 minutes at the gate because there was no one to connect them to the terminal. As he sat there watching the minutes tick by he saw the plane he was supposed to be on right next to him load up and take off. That flight would have gotten him home at 3:00. Instead he had to go through Winnipeg, then Edmonton, and finally arrived home at 8 pm last night. His baggage is another story though..who knows where it's at and if we will ever get it back!

If we wouldn't have known better I think mother nature was trying to keep us from coming back! But we made it and were pleasantly surprised at the beautiful spring weather. The streets and sidewalks are clear of snow and we can even see part of our front lawn. Tomorrow it's supposed to be in the 60's! Even the spiders are coming out already...yuck!

We are enjoying some family time and Aniela and Daddy sure are having a blast catching up. In just these last 2 days she's become
more of a daddy's girl!

Love the pix! How did you ever get her to hold so still? She is such a cutie. She must resemble Marta! :-)
