Seattle Weekend

We hit a few tourist spots over the weekend and enjoyed the company of having Kevin be able to join us! On Saturday we went to the Aquarium. It was a bit chilly but most of the displays were inside and Aniela absolutely loved all the bright, colorful fish. She ran around pointing at everything, her favorite being the seals!

Then on Sunday we went to the famous Space Needle. It is 605 feet tall and was designed by Edward E. Carlson for the 1962 World's Fair in Seattle. The elevator ride took only 30 seconds and when we reached the top the panoramic view was breathtaking. There are little cafe shops and tables for one to sit and enjoy the view. However you can also step outside and get a closer look through one of the many telescopes available. I definitely recommend this attraction to anyone who visits Seattle and am glad I came to Seattle otherwise Kevin and Ela may have never gone since it was their first time visiting as well!

We have three days left and are going to take it easy: hit a few parks, go to a baby shower tomorrow for my sister, and help get her a little organized for the new arrival just around the corner. We'll see you back in Fort McMurray!!
