Turks and Caicos 10 Year Anniversary Trip...

Charlie and I just got back from Turks and Caicos. We will be celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary in August and decided a getaway was in order. It was the most amazing trip and having time to ourselves without the kids was so nice. Of course this was possible with the help of both sets of grandparents that took such good care of the kids. Thank you guys for making it possible!

Turks and Caicos, which is just east of Cuba, was beautiful... as most islands are.  Our section, Providencialis, was only about 36 square miles with the most picture perfect beaches, friendliest people, amazing food and ideal weather. Charlie and I love the ocean. How can you not. And all the tropical plants are beautiful . Not to mention our resort, Seven Stars, was absolute luxury. If the kids had been with us I think it would have been hard to leave!

We packed our 6 day stay with sailing, kayaking, scuba diving, biking, shopping, lots of eating, and exploring the island. And yes in between all of that we still managed to lay back, relax and lounge by the water. It was just what we needed to celebrate us.

One of many beautiful sunsets

Sharkbite was recommended and we went on the day we had our scooter

They spot-lighted the water and many times you can see shark come into the harbor
The next day we went to Bugaloos for lunch. It was a fun 25 minute drive from the resort
Locals harvesting conch

Fresh Conch salad serced in a conch shell...delicioius
Coconut crusted fried conch...I think the description speaks for itself!
RUM PUNCH....you better believe we learned how to make this stuff!

The atmosphere was as amazing as the food.
We dined under the Palms

It felt like you were in the jungle

Off to Mr. Groupers for lunch
When we didn't have a scooter the hotel had complimentary bikes that helped get around the island

Our last meal we decided to dine at Seven, the restaurant at our resort

It was the perfect place to recap our trip and have one last celebratory meal
Relaxing by the pool and beaches

Taylor Bay was the ultimate ocean "kiddie pool"

Look out points along our road trip..the water is the most beautiful shade of blue

Our last sunset

Some day we hope to sail away and be able to take in sunsets like this every night!
