Charles turned 9 months old this week and a lot sure has changed. It's amazing how babies all of a sudden go from not knowing how to do something to being really good at it overnight! He has officially mastered crawling and so things are really starting to pick up the pace. He can now pull up onto furniture, climb the stairs, cruise along the bottom of the stairs while standing, and just yesterday he transferred from the ottoman to the couch all by himself. Thankfully we found a baby gate in Edmonton that is wide enough to fit our hallway space. Our house is not easy to have gates in because the stairs on the bottom are rounded and at the top the wall isn't even with the railing. It was not fun to install but Charlie, being the handy man he is, figured it out and my life will be much easier now.
Charles is also all smiles. He is such a happy baby and the one person that can get him to smile no matter how hard he may be crying is his big sister. He thinks she is the coolest person alive and she is so good with him. He still loves both our long hair and I must admit Aniela is more patient with the pulling than I am at times. We have also reached...which in my book is the most important event...sleeping through the night. Charles was still getting up in the middle of the night for a feeding. But for the past week I have finally experienced non-interrupted sleep and that equals happier mommy!

Looks to me like Charles is letting his hair grow! Jeese is he growing up fast!
Aniela is cute as ever ... can't wait to get my hands on her to build some more rock flowers.
Tell Charlie that one pot of wine is brewing in the basement (when he gets home from Calgary).
What a darling picture of Aniela holding Charles. Maybe it's the camera angle, but he looks almost as big as her!
