A Night Out

Charlie and I were invited to a charity event last night benefiting the Canadian Cancer Society. I was so excited to get all dressed up and go out. It had been too long. We had so much fun wining and dining with our fellow Finning friends. The food was spectacular, one of those fancy 5 course meals, and the atmosphere was so fun. Each table had a local celebrity waiter who you could bribe with money to do things. So you could make the waiter sing, dance, take a shirt off..all in fun of course!


However, the waiter could turn the wheels and get the the guests to do things as well . For instance the table next to us had a waiter who was an expert at this event. Before his guests sat down he stole all their utensils, gave them chopsticks and told them if they wanted their utensils back they had to give him money. Not an issue until they served the soup! He also made them wear huge bibs and drink their wine out of sippy cups! Another waiter kidnapped one of the guests by duct taping him to a chair and then held him ransom. I think he was finally set free for $600. Anyway you all get the picture..it was a fun night as well as a very generous night with expectations of surpassing last years earnings of approximately $400,000. Next year we will know what to expect and will be ready with props in hand!
