Towards the end of August we were able to get in some more summer fun...
We did a last minute camping weekend out at Shady Grove. Aunt Susanna came out with the family. The cousins had fun exploring the creek, going on hikes, making their very own nature fort, trying out a bow and arrow for the first time and 4 wheeling all day long.

| Patrick could have rode this all day long if we let him! |

| I hung the deer head...it was one we found that had naturally passed away on our land. Then Rebecca lead the way in making this welcome sign out of tree bark and mud |

We also met some friends at bicycle safety town. Zofia can ride a tricycle like the best of them. She just woke up one day and could do it. She is very independent and refuses help in anything unless she is the one to ask! I have a feeling next summer she will be riding training wheel free just so she can keep up with Aniela and Charles.
Then we spent some time at the pool on Labor Day weekend. We were supposed to go camping but the weather was way too hot, with heat indexes over 100. There was no way that my side of the family, with 9 kids in tow, was going to attempt that one. Instead we hit the pool and enjoyed swimming for the last time this summer. Unfortunately I didn't get any photos at the pool. I was too busy lounging around and drinking my frozen margarita...moms need their day off too!

And they will have fun, fun, fun ... until Mommy takes their playthings away.
Zofia ... can't believe you can now zoom around on that great big tricycle.
We remember when Daddy refinished it and painted it red a long time ago.
Now that you have wheels ... there is no stopping you now!
