Labor Day Weekend...

The Dynda side of the family got together this weekend for a big Labor day campout at Shady Grove. We have been planning it for a few months now and of course whenever you plan something that far in advance the weather never cooperates. Such was the case during the weekend. Who would have known that Hurricane Isaac would bring torrential rainfall our way. We didn't let that stop us though and decided to "camp" out at my parents house. With 8 kids, 6 years old and younger, we knew it would have been miserable camping in the 90 degree, rainy weather. We love camping but not that much! The kids still had a blast, we enjoyed all our camp food, and on sunday, when the weather cleared up for a bit, we headed to Shady Grove for some all day fun with a cookout over the campfire.

Charles, Szymon, Tomasz, Aniela and Gabby

Tomasz and Aniela

Daddy and Charles riding the new four wheeler Dziadek bought for the Grandkids

Aunt Danuta with the kids playing in the rain

Uncle Kevin with Jozef and Celina. Hey it's never to young to start drinking, right?

Zoe staying dry with daddy in the garage

Let's just say Zoe did not like being anywhere near the four wheeler

Uncle Michal is silly, and yes that is a beer in hand.

Gabby sitting on the four wheeler with soda in hand. Shhh, don't tell mom..who stayed home because she is due with baby #4 any day now!

Zofia with Babcia
Had to get at least 1 picture of the motor home my parents rented for the weekend. Too bad we didn't use it to it's fullest potential

At least the cousins were excited to sleep in the RV, who cares that is was parked in the driveway..ha ha!

Sunday we still went out and enjoyed a campfire complete with hotdogs and s'mores
Babcia going for her first ride in their new toy

How many grandkids can you fit in Dziadeks new side by side

Roasting some marshmallows

Uncle Michal taking the boys for a ride in the 4 wheelers

Enjoying some time with my baby girl

It didn't take long for Aniela to get the hang of riding

Charlie taking the oldest ones on a ride

More marshmallows...
...is there such thing as too many!
Zoe didn't mind getting dirty

Uncle Kevin taking his little girl for a ride

What can I say....rednecks through and through!

So as the pictures show, despite mother nature,  there were lots of memories made and we hope many more opportunities to get everyone together to try camping again!
