Zofia is 9 months...

Zoe had her 9 month check-up today and she weighed in at a whopping 21 lb 13oz and is measuring 28 inches tall. She is obviously doing just fine on the eating and nursing aspect of development! Charlie also swapped out the car seats yesterday since our infant carrier only goes to 21 pounds. I just knew she had reached the max weight on that thing. Unfortunately now I have to wake her up when we are out running errands!

A different aspect brings a whole bunch of new things to discover

Zoe is just sprouting up before our eyes. It's amazing how one day can make so much of a difference. For instance, she has been sitting up for a few months now but whenever she ends up on her belly she will scream in frustration for someone to prop her back up because she couldn't do it on her own. Then one day, right before my eyes, I saw her push herself back up into a sitting position. My mouth dropped because, seriously, how does that just happen? It also reaffirms that you really can't leave babies unattended because when they decide to try something new it just may take one time to accomplish that thing! So with this new skill she is also starting to rock on all fours and pull up onto things. I know crawling is right around the corner. The baby gates are going up this week.

Zoe's personality is also changing. She is very persistent and will scream and scream until she gets what she wants. That probably was nurtured with help from a big brother and sister who get her what she wants when she wants it! She also is a bit aggressive and likes to throw things, take something and bash it into things, grab at faces, and pull hair. I have a feeling she is ging to give us a run for our money! But then she can be so darn cute and is such a little flirt, burrowing her head into my shoulder when someone smiles at her.

Speaking of big brother and sister. Aniela and Charles are so awesome with Zoe. Charles and Zoe have this special bond. He lets her hit him, pull his hair and be rough and tumble with him. Yes, as silly as it sounds that does form this bond between them. Zoe always has the biggest smile for her brother. Then Aniela is feeling quite grown up lately because she can now pick Zofia up. I am not sure what Zoe thinks of this yet since she is not used to it but Aniela sure thinks she is pretty hot stuff. She also has been feeding her lately which is such a huge help for me.

And I am continually in denial that the next doctors appointment is when Zoe will be 12 months!
