Safety First...

A few weeks ago Charlie was out at our land trimming back some brush and trees. When he got home he said he was pretty close to chopping his leg off with the chain saw. After seeing his injury someone sure was watching over him because it could have been pretty bad. He said when he lowered his chainsaw his baggy jeans caught the chain, which was still rotating, and pulled the blade into his leg. He only ended up with a flesh wound but needless to say he felt some safety gear was in order and I wasn't going to argue that one. The package arrived yesterday and Charlie of course couldn't wait to try on his gear. The specialized chaps are made so that if the chain saw catches them they shred into many fibers and stop the blade. Charles thought daddy looked pretty cool and insisted on trying the hard hat too!

Thank God! We're glad he got safety gear ... while he still has all his limbs and his package intact
