Oh Joy, it's that time of year again when every other blog is about hunting. This year started off with a Duck Hunting Trip to South Dakota. Charlie and Cally joined a few hunters from the dog club we joined for owners of Drahthaar's and other versatile hunting dogs. Charlie was excited to take Cally on her first hunting experience and to also experience his first out of state duck hunt.

South Dakota did not disappoint and we have 24 duck breasts in the freezer to prove it! Charlie said Cally did great and had a chance to try a few retrieves. Her instincts are so strong. It amazes us how much she lives for being outdoors and just working alongside Charlie. What a great start to her hunting career and to many more hunts in the future!

being the best Gun Dog she can be for Charlie! |

Good Choice of magazines for Cally to read ... "Gun Dog" instead of "Wild Dog" Magazine.
