A Wedding Weekend...

This past weekend we attended a wedding in Chillicothe, Ohio. Charlie's childhood friend, J.C., tide the knot and Charlie was a groomsmen. It ended up being a nice getaway for us since the kids stayed back in Peoria under the good care of Granny and Grandpa.

I love weddings and was on cloud nine the whole weekend. Hanging out with friends from all over the states, getting dressed up and just the variuos wedding happenings is so much fun to me. Although thats easy for me to say...I didn't have to plan it or be in it!

Charlie and I with Ashley and J.C.
The wedding took place at Ashley's (bride) parents house. They have an absolutely beautiful home or should I say estate! The ceremony was in the back yard. Set in front of a grand curved staircase. The reception followed in the lawn under a party tent. We ate, drank and danced the night away and are very happy for J.C. and Ashley.

The stunning stone balcony and beautiful couple!

We returned on Father's day with a warm welcome from the kiddos. And then decided last minute to hit the Ivy club for a swim. We hadn't been there since the opening this year and with the intense heat we figured it would be a good way to celebrate Father's day and be with the kids after a weekend away.
Charlie thank you for the sacrifices you make to take care of your family. Your an amazing father and work so hard to make sure we have everything we need and then some. The kids adore you and that's because you are so involved in their lives and care about what they do. Happy Father's Day...we love you!
