Wishing everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving! As you can see from the photo above we have a lot to be thankful for! Although here in Canada it is not Thanksgiving we had a chance to have a nice Turkey dinner while my parents were in town last week so today we are just going to take it easy and enjoy some family time. Charlie took today off since he had to work on Canada's Thanksgiving Day last month. It'll be nice to have him home so
Aniela can make it to gymnastics and our local ski hill opened yesterday so he plans on taking her skiing! She is going to love getting the extra attention! Well deserved attention since she really is adjusting well to her baby brother and is extremely patient for being 2 1/2.

So as you can imagine we have received a good amount of snow already for the ski hill to open. We have received so much in fact that our snowman that we built a few weeks ago made it in the front page of the Fort McMurray paper! Our neighbor Jackie, who helped Aniela and I build it, brought the article over. A great thing to save in her memory box!

As for Charles, he is doing great! I can't believe he is already 1 1/2 weeks old. Everyone warned me the time would fly with baby #2! So far he is giving me a break by sleeping and eating well. Some nights are rougher than others but I don't expect any different. I realize that could all change as he grows but I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

Boy ... is he getting to be a big boy! He'll probably be able to drive to the airport and pick us up in a couple of weeks.
Can't wait to get my hands on him ... and Aniela ... and the parents.
