Aniela and Charles participated in their first triathlon today. It was the Tri2BeatMS kids triathlon at Shore Acres in Chillicothe, Illinois. I was so excited for them and loved seeing all the young athletes out there being active and supporting a wonderful cause. The weather held out and we had a perfect morning for the 25 yard swim, 2 mile bike ride and 1/2 mile run. Both Aniela and Charles gave 100% during the race and as a result we're awarded medals trophies in their age group. Aniela finishing in 16:20 placed 2nd in her age group and 46th/150 overall. Charles finishing in 16:19 placed 1st in his age group and 45th/150 overall. It was a proud moment for this family. Can't wait to do it again next year!
