It's Finally the Christmas Season...

As the kids get older the anticipation of getting the tree up, decorating the house and preparing for Sammy's, our elf, return gets greater. So the weekend after Thanksgiving we blasted the Christmas music and "decked the halls". Aniela and Charles were actually really helpful this year. They did a great job hauling up the Christmas bins and hanging the ornaments. Zofia was in awe of everything going on. When we got to our nativity set I explained to her that we were decorating for Jesus birthday and that Santa comes Christmas morning and gives 3 gifts to each of them just like Jesus. I know she is to young to understand but she still got so excited and wakes up every morning asking about Jesus an Santa.
Lots of help
Aniela and Charles performed a  little show for me to the Christmas music

The morning of December 1st the kids couldn't wait to find Sammy. He was in his usual first day spot on the mantel with a note telling the kids how much he missed them and reminding them to be good and kind. He even left them their own little Christmas tree to put in their rooms. They thought that was awesome!

Every year Christmas gets better and better as the kids get older and start to remember all the joys of Christmas Eve and Day!
