Aniela wrapped up her first year of American Heritage girls with a camp out at Camp Wikonda! I tagged along and enjoyed spending some alone time with her and the other girls as well. The troop stayed in one of the Cabins and the girls had opportunities to work towards several badges. The first night we went to an official barn dance that was being held at the campgrounds. It was so much fun and the girls had fun listening to the instructions and dancing. We also took several hikes, learned fundamentals of fire safety, first aid, and tying knots. Then at the final meeting the girls had their closing badge ceremony to finish out the first year. Aniela has really enjoyed her time with the AHG troop and looks forward to starting up again in the fall.
